Ross’ Ian Roe has been voted the HSMBA County Team Players’ Player of the Year following the completion of the ICC Group stages.
Introduced this year by Captain Becci Cox as a means of allowing the squad to nominate and recognise team members not just in terms of bowling performance but overall contribution, five players were nominated in total with Ian gaining the most votes. In addition to his impressive form in the pairs with playing partner Dave Watkins, Ian also passed his Umpire’s test at the start of the season alongside Lea’s Steve Kite, with both acting as playing umpire’s during herefordshire’s home fixtures.
The award was presented to Ian by Captain Cox at the County Team meal on Friday 19th January at the Bunch of Carrots, Hampton Bishop (which was thoroughly enjoyed by all!).
