The 22-23 competition was held at Ross Bowling Club on Sunday 30th October., with 12 teams battling it out in two groups of six to reach the knockout stages.

Group 1 saw the Gorlsey and Fownhope combination of Richard Bemand and Carole Rowland go through as group winners on 8 points and +35 shots. Runners up in the group and also going through to the semi-finals were defending champions Claire Herbert and Peter Wright (Ross), also on 8 points but with a lesser shots difference of +5. The winners of Group 2 were David Millington Jones (Ross) and Nic Cooper (Fownhope) on 7 points and +5 shots with Linda Lewis and Tony Vitale (Ross) taking the final semi-final place with 6 points and +11 shots. 

The first Semi-Final proved to be a close affair with Richard and Carole securing their place in the final following a 10-6 victory. The Semi-Final was not as close, with Claire and Peter keen to defend their title, achieving a 17-4 victory against David and Nic.

A nip and tuck game, the final saw just 11 shots scored over the 10 ends with Claire and Peter holding their nerve to keep the Over 55 Pairs trophy safely locked away in the Ross cabinet for another year!
