Five From Five for County Team as Bulls Complete Double Over Neighbours Gloucestershire

Herefordshire kept their 100% winning record for the season firmly intact as they defeated neighbours Gloucestershire 29-11 at Leominster on Sunday 3rd December. The Bulls entered the match top of their group but keenly aware that second placed Wiltshire trailed by only 17 points whilst Gloucestershire were looking to put themselves back in the fight for first, a further 6 points behind them.

The morning sessions followed exactly the same pattern as the away match against Gloucestershire, with both singles falling to narrow defeats, the pairs counteracting this with two wins, a win and a loss in the triples and two wins in the fours putting the overall score at the halfway mark at 10-6. It was at this stage that Herefordshire moved into the ascendancy with both disciplines picking up the bonus points as two wins in the singles and a win and a loss in the pairs left them needing just one point to win from the final session. The triples delivered that and more, winning both matches to take the bonus points and with a loss and a draw in the fours, give The Bulls a 29-11 win.

Herefordshire finish the 2023 calendar year having won eight of their nine matches and hoping for an equally as successful 2024, kicking off with their final group game at home to Avon on 7th January. To read the full match report from the day and view the scoresheet, please click here.
