The Herefordshire County Team reached the Semi-Finals of the Inter County Championship “Premier 2” Division with a 24-16 (212-169 shots) victory over Surrey at Bristol IBC on Sunday 13/02/23.
An incredible performance against the odds, with five players including Captain Becci Cox unavalible, the tension built across the day with the scores at 14-14 before a fantastic final session sealed victory for Herefordshire.
Although not at the venue herself, Captain Cox sent her congratulations to the team, declaring herself a very proud captain, with the result not only showing Herefordshire’s recent progress as a County but also the strength in depth that it has, with each of the players who stepped in fitting in seamlessly and performing at a high level. Many members of the team also praised the positive atmosphere in the squad and the strong comradery that was felt across the day, with fantastic support and encouragement given from the sidelines for each session.
Herefordshire are now through to their first Semi-Final since the consolation Semi-Final victory against Wiltshire in the 2015-16 season, where they now await the winner of Wiltshire vs Cambridge.
