8 teams from 7 clubs contested the first HSMBA Summer League. The teams were divided into two groups of 4 teams (Swallows and Larks) for the round robin league stage before the two group winners played off for the title.

After winning their respective divisions Aston Ingham 1 and Lea progressed to the play-off final which took place at Ross Bowling Club on Monday 30th September. After each team won two of the four discipline games the result came down to shots scored and ASTON INGHAM 1 secured the victory with an overall shots result of 52-36, becoming the inaugural summer league champions.
